Personal values are … well, so personal. Or are they? Every organization is fully dependent on the personal values of their employees. Makes you wonder why so many organizations think it is just that touchy-feely ”soft” kind of stuff. Maybe it’s because the commitment to values is just too hard!
You are so right. A lot of people, on balance, have great intentions that fuel their actions. However, without awareness of what you talk about in this clip, without that awareness of personal values, the essence of those values and then how they relate to corporate values in any kind of organization, there can then be a rudderless affect. When it’s rudderless, you don’t get to where you want to be. Or worse, great actions not built on values can take one to the opposite of where they want to be. Then chaos can result.
